Nowhere to Run: Nigeria’s Climate & Environmental Crisis informs and inspires as we seek to address one of the defining challenges of our time.
The Yar’Adua Foundation in partnership with the European Union Delegation in Nigeria and ECOWAS hosted the premiere of the feature length file “Nowhere to Run: Nigeria’s Climate and Environmental Crisis on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The high profile event was well attended by prominent Nigerian government officials, the international diplomatic community, civil society organisations, representatives of Ministries, Department Agencies, young professionals, members of the press and interested citizens.
Produced by Jacqueline Farris, the Yar’Adua Foundation, narrated by Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr, and directed by Dan McCain, Core Productions, the documentary tells the story of environmental threats and unique challenges to security in Nigeria in affected communities. It connects the dots between climate, environmental degradation and security and serve as an advocacy tool to raise awareness of the defining challenge of our time. The fil not only highlighted significant challenges occasioned by the climate change and damage to the environment, but also featured possible solution stories.
