Have you ever wondered why in every work of genius, you see something faintly familiar to you? Why you feel a connection so strong that it invokes past known feelings? Have you ever read a work of art or an illuminating opinion and you felt like it is something you wrote or could have written?
Indeed! It is something you could have written but when the thought came to you, you didn’t notice it, or hesitated, or felt it was unimportant.
Here is the truth: As every soul lives, so has every mind a grain of genius. It is all in you. The genius you seek is in you, only if you can listen more to the voice from within.
Now listen to what a great mind like yours has to say about this phenomenon:
“A man should learn to detect and watch the glean of light which flashes across his mind from within, more than the luster of bards and sages. Yet he dismisses his own thought, because it is his. IN EVERY WORK OF GENIUS WE RECOGNIZE OUR OWN REJECTED THOUGHTS; THEY COME BACK TO US WITH A CERTAIN ALIENATED MAJESTY” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
The first time I read this while browsing through some metaphysical monographs, the words hit me with such clarity and intensity that I felt I have known it all along.
Have you ever uttered these words, “He spoke mind”?
Don’t be a “He spoke my mind” man. Be the one that “speak their minds!” That’s the path to being a genius.
