The chairman of the Adamawa State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Rufai Jingi, has expressed confidence that the party will emerge victorious in all elections during the 2015 general polls.
Jingi who made the disclosure yesterday noted that the candidature of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is the best thing to happen to the state as he said it has gained acceptability from a wide spectrum of party faithful in the state.
“Ribadu is a unifying factor in the party and, with him as the candidate of the party, the victory of the party is a matter of time. And I can assure you that with the current support he is getting from all and sundry, the party will not only win the guber polls, but will go ahead to win all positions from councillor to the presidential election,” he said.
He noted that the party will soon embark on campaign tour to all the 21 local government areas of the state to showcase Malam Nuhu Ribadu as it is gubernatorial candidate for 2015 general election.
Jingi said the party had fully set up campaign machineries in place to take their candidate to every nook and cranny of the state, noting that the campaign had enlisted the support of all the party faithful in the state and even beyond.
He said that Ribadu has all it takes to rescue the state from its present state of underdevelopment and make it one of the most developed states in the country.
“Ribadu will bring his wealth of experience and wide network of national and international connection to put the state on a fast trajectory of development,” he said.
He noted that the campaign tour will kick start before the year runs out just as he expresses confidence that President Goodluck Jonathan and Nuhu Ribadu will win the state come 2015 general polls.
According to him, “Adamawa is a PDP state and there is no way the party will lose in free and fair polls especially in consideration of the pedigree of our candidate,” he said.
