Search and Groom Youth for Development Centre will be flying Nigeria’s flag at the streetfootballworld festival 2016, which will take place in Lyon, France as an official part of the UEFA Euro 2016.
This was made known in an official invitation letter jointly signed by Dr Vladimir Borković, Network Director, streetfootballworld, the host, Philippe Oddou, Director General, Sport dans la Ville and addressed to Yomi Kuku, Executive Director, Search and Groom youth for development centre.
The Street football festival brings together up to 100 teams of young people from disadvantaged communities all over the world, for a festival of football, fair play and culture, chosen not for their skills on the field but for their commitment to making the world a better place using the power of football.
From June 28th to July 7th 2016 (during the semi-final week of the UEFA EURO 2016), an exciting street-soccer tournament, open to the public and played with special football3 rules designed to promote tolerance and youth leadership and educational and cultural exchange programme for the participants from across the world will be held In the heart of Lyon, France on the campus of host organization Sport dans la Ville.
The festival will be organized jointly by streetfootballworld and Sport dans la Ville and will include a youth forum, the streetfootballworld General Assembly, bringing together local and international fans, journalists and guests from the worlds of sports, politics & business, transforming Lyon into the capital of Development through Football during the European Championships.
